Overview
Orukana.io was a self-funded initiative built to tap into the passion economy surrounding custom cars and motorcycles. I designed a system of viral media theme pages, paired with a digital submission showroom, that allowed enthusiasts to feature their builds and grow their own followings — while I simultaneously built a lead funnel, newsletter list, and affiliate sales engine behind the scenes.
Objectives
Grow large, niche-targeted Instagram theme pages with high engagement
Offer vehicle owners a platform to showcase their rides (free user-generated content)
Turn submissions into SEO-rich blog posts (backlinks + discoverability)
Capture emails and traffic from submissions and page bios
Monetize through affiliate partnerships with automotive and gear brands
What I Did
Theme Page Creation & Content Strategy
Built and scaled multiple Instagram theme pages in the:
Motorcycle niche (cruisers, café racers, stunt builds)
Car niche (modified builds, JDM, stance, exotic)
Sourced user-submitted content and viral reposts
Used reels, trends, and car feature series to drive DM submissions and growth
Digital Showroom Funnel
Developed Orukana.io as a digital “garage” for builders to showcase their ride
Created a submission form that captured:
- Vehicle photos
- Build specs
- Social links
- Owner story
Turned each submission into a blog-style feature post
Participants were encouraged to share the post and link it in their bio — creating backlinks + referral loops
List Building & Monetization
Collected emails through the submission flow and confirmation steps
Built a segmented email list of auto/moto enthusiasts and content creators
Sold affiliate products such as:
GoPro mounts, helmet cams, track day gear, riding gloves
Motorcycle and car cleaning kits
Digital courses and tools for content monetization
Used tag-based email automation to recommend relevant affiliate offers based on submission type (e.g., rider vs. car builder)

Rolled out a content reward model: Paying creators per view to distribute branded clips
Embedded affiliate tools to promote the SBO software, Whop and internal products
Added clipper job boards and monetizable playbooks inside paid tiers
